Press Release
This summer the convention scene is going to be Red Hot. A new convention with different perspective has been added and its one not to be missed.
CEO Eric M. Cooper of Seeker Entertainment and associate of Chocolate Nation Studios explains what Black Label Comic con is “Some have asked what’s Black Label ComiCon? The short answer is that it’s a Comic Book Convention that features creator only characters, story lines, and concept designs.”
The event will take place in Downtown Philadelphia at the Hampton Inn Hotel next to the Convention Center on 1301 Race Street on August 10, 2019 Saturday from 10AM – 5PM.
This particular comic con was organized for the purpose of promoting and highlighting true artists that have vision from many walks of life and ethnic backgrounds. Most of these creators aren’t shown any true love at big shows that seem to only cater to Marvel, DC, Image, and Dark Horse Comics, along with the plethora of Cosplayers. Attendees are blown away by all the big budget promotions from huge corporations as they get so caught up in the glamour they miss out on the guys that are actually creating new content for consumption, especially when its coming from people of color and women.
Founder of Black Label Con Eric Cooper says, “Black Label Comic Con wants to set a standard in the comic convention industry. Even though this is our first year but our message is big, and it has heart. Most will not understand but in time they will.”
To add to the excitement Black Label ComiCon will also be honoring the history of Black Wall Street as Eric M. Cooper has already started the process in creating the first Action/Adventure Graphic Novel of this time period, that he has titled ‘The Greenville Triangle’. The announcement was made back at San Diego Comic-Con 2018 at a panel discussion. Be aware that this author & creator does what he says he will do, which sets him apart from many that just talk a game. CEO Eric M.
