‘Children of Blood and Bone’ Gets A Director

If you’ve read our review of Children of Blood and Bone you’ll know we’re huge fans of the novel. Tomi Adeyemi SLAYED with her the first entry in her upcoming trilogy, and when news was dropped that it had been picked up for a film adaptation, fans were hyped.

Well, we don’t have to wait any further for news of a director, because Rick Famuyiwa (Dope, Brown Sugar, The Wood) has been chosen for the role.

According to Deadline.com, “Rick Famuyiwa, who has written and directed films like The Wood, Brown Sugar, and Dope, has been tapped to helm Fox 2000’s Children of Blood and Bone, an action fantasy film based on the New York Times bestselling novel by Nigerian-American author Tomi Adeyemi.”

“The novel was released in March of last year, via Henry Holt Books for Young Readers, with the follow-up, Children of Virtue and Vengeance, slated to hit shelves in June.”
