It doesn’t get anymore deeper than the title suggests. We love #blackhistorymonth here at BlackSci-Fi.com. So for the month of February I’m going to focus on scenes of black folks kicking all the a#! in your favorite sci-fi/ fantasy/ action tv, web, and film series.

2. Sister Night v. The 7th Cavalry/ Watchmen, S1,EP1, “It’s Summer and We’re Running out of Ice”

First things first. Go and watch HBO’s Watchmen. Do it now. Make that required #blackhistorymonth viewing. We even wrote an Op-Ed piece about the series here.

Second, can we appreciate the awesomeness that is Regina King as Sister Night? She deserves all the awards in life for her performance. Here we have a scene of her in a shoot out with a group of white nationalists/ racists a-holes known as the 7th Cavalry.

For a brief summary of the series,”Set in an alternate history where masked vigilantes are treated as outlaws, Watchmen embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel of the same name while attempting to break new ground of its own.”
