Is’nana the Were-Spider: the Ballads of Rawhead & John Henry;Cover by David Brame and Lee Milewski; Sequentials by Walter Ostlie

Hundreds of years have passed and the Machines and Artificial Intelligence have taken over and now rule in a post apocalyptic world. Human beings are used as fuel, entertainment, and labor to help advance the supremacy of the Machines. Born through the pain, blood, and tears of the suffering humans who continually pray to the Mother Earth Asase for strength and salvation, a new John Henry – the steel driving man now made of root – is born to help bring down the current threat to humanity.

Launched in 2023 by writer Greg Anderson Elysée (Is’nana the Were-Spider; Akim Aliu: Dreamer) and artist David Brame (After the Rain; Baaaad Muthaz), HAMMER is a web-comic filled with action, symbolism, and the perseverance of our people through Patreon.

This year with the help of Kickstarter and supporters, Brame and Elysée hope to bring Act 1 of their epic to print and in readers’ hands.
