It doesn’t get anymore deeper than the title suggests. We love #blackhistorymonth here at BlackSci-Fi.com. So for the month of February, I’m going to focus on scenes of black folks kicking all the a#! in your favorite sci-fi/ fantasy/ action tv, web, and film series.

3. John Stewart- Green Lantern vs. Hro Talak/ Justice League, S2, EP24, “Starcrossed”.

For a generation of people, John Stewart is THE GREEN LANTERN, in large part because of his appearance in the Justice League and Justice League: Unlimited animated series’. Voiced by the hella talented Phil Lamarr, Stewart was one of the League’s heaviest hitters and had no shortage of stand out moments throughout the series.

One such moment was during the season 2 finale episode, Star Crossed. I won’t give away too much, as there’s a large spoiler to how this story arc ends, but needless to say, Stewart is front and center in one of the most gripping fights that the series has ever seen. Watch as Stewart mixes it up with Hro Talak, in a fight to save Earth.
