The event will take place at the Towson University Liberal Arts Building in Towson, MD. Stop by our table to pick up copies of Scribes of Nyota, posters, and to just geek out. 🙂

“Superheroes are coming to Towson University!
Towson University will be holding the third Towson Black Comic Book Mini-Fest on Saturday, February 24th. The event will bring together African American professional comic book artists, comic book fans and students of all ages. The festival is being organized by the TU African and African American Studies program in partnership with the East Coast Age of Black Comics Convention (ECBACC) as a way to promote literacy and creativity. There will be hands-on workshops conducted for students of all ages, a panel discussion with professionals from the comic book industry, vendors and exhibits. There will even be some costumed superheroes roaming about! All are welcome.
The first 100 registered youth in attendance will receive a free gift.
When: February 24th, 11 am to 5 pm
Where: Towson University, Liberal Arts Building
Parking: Free parking on campus in the Towsontown Garage
Registration: Pre-register to ensure seats in the workshops and to qualify for a free gift. To register send an email to afst@towson.edu. Include the names and organizational affiliation of attendees. For youth, just include first names and ages.
