If you’re looking for a new sci-fi series to check out, queue up Amazon Prime Video and watch M. Asli Dukan’s award-winning series Resistance: The Battle of Philadelphia. From the official summary, “A six-part web series about a clandestine collective of residents who mobilize to resist the pervasive surveillance and the repressive state violence of a powerful corporate government in a near-future Philadelphia.”

Created/ co-written/ directed by Dukan, the series has gone on to be featured in a host of film festivals and recently won the Diversity Story Spotlight award at Toronto’s T.O. Webfest, and the 2018 Member Award at last year’s Blackstar Film Festival.
