HOW THE PROJECT CAME ABOUT

The original concept for “Going Knowhere” began as a short story. I was inspired by the idea and quickly drafted a few scenes, sharing excerpts on Facebook. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with readers expressing enthusiasm and curiosity about the story’s direction. Encouraged by the feedback, I initially intended to develop it further. However, as often happens in the creative process, other writing projects demanded my attention, and “Going Knowhere” was temporarily shelved.

Time passed, and while working on comic book scripts, I stumbled upon the old draft. Reading through it reignited my interest in the world I had started to build. I could see its potential as a visual narrative, leading me to consider adapting it into a comic book. I decided to reach out to illustrator Rully Akbar, who had been creating cover art for my “PANTHEON: Escape” series. Given his talent and experience, I believed he would be the perfect collaborator to bring this Old West versus vampire tale to life.

To my delight, Rully was not only intrigued by the concept but also eager to join the project. With his artistic vision and my storytelling, “Going Knowhere” began to take on a new life—one that would soon leap from the pages of prose into the dynamic world of comics.

WHAT IS THE STORY ABOUT?

The frontier will run red…

Six soldiers ride into the town of Knowhere, expecting an uneventful prisoner drop-off. However, trouble finds them—trouble that thirsts for blood. As night falls, evil emerges. In a land where justice is scarce and survival is harsh, these soldiers will learn that bullets alone cannot halt the horror that prowls the night—a horror that the soldiers had carried into Knowhere.

Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.                                                                                                                — Friedrich Nietzsche
